Abstract

This article studies the political thoughts of the Reformation
thinkers. The author believes that Reformation was a new
phenomenon in the history of church and European culture. This phenomenon destroyed the exclusiveness of ecclesiastic morality of middle ages and reduced the Catholicism to a church among
churchs. According to the author, the Reformation stemmed from the failure of councilor movement. This paper reviews in brief the political tlleories of Martin Luter, Jean calvin, philip Melanchton , Ulrich Zwingb, and John knox.
