Criminal law clims to make a balance beetween individual rights and public security, but it must be recognized thet it could
not be created or maintained without the intervention of judicial interpretations. The flagrant role of jurisprudence in restricting or
expanding the concept of law and delimitating or enlarging the domain of security and freedom, urges us to somehow regulate
our of interpretations. Notrrit - standing the fact that the judges¬due some empirical considrations - sometimes ignore the most
precise Limitations and clearest boundaries.
There are many rules for interpretation of criminal statutes.
This article will discuss some of the substantial rules of interpretation in criminal Law: "Restrictive interpretation of
unfavorable statut", "Refuse of analogy in interpretation of unfavorable statute", "Extensive interpretation of favorable statute", "Interpretation of doutful statute for defendent interest"and declarative or teleologic interpretation. and "Declarative or Teleologic interpretation."
